Improved wound healing. Following wounding and treatment with copper oxide containing wound dressings there is a) normal skin regeneration (histological analysis after 17 days of wounding) and b) upregulation of angiogenic related factors, such as Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor (VEGF) – Immuno-histological analysis.
