Human A549 (a) or avian DF-1 (b) cells were infected with virus at a MOI of 0.001 and incubated at 33 or 37 °C. At the indicated time points post infection, virus titres were determined by use of plaque assays in MDCK cells. Values shown are the means (±s.d.) of three separate infections.
