Three unique restriction sites in the JS5/05 genome and the PacI in the Herts/33 genome were used to replace viral genes. Intracerebral pathogenicity index (ICPI) and mean death time (MDT) were measured to evaluate the pathogenicity of the chimeric viruses. For designation of the chimeric viruses, Herts/33 backbone is shown in short as Hert and the donator virus JS5/05 is shown as superscript
