Differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated with 1,25D for 24 hours at the indicated concentrations, and mRNA levels for the indicated gene products were determined by real-time PCR (A, B and D) or by gel electrophoresis of PCR products after 40 cycles (panel C). CYP24A1 is a positive control known to be upregulated by 1,25D. Statistical significance is depicted in the body of each panel. Each bar represents the average of three independent experiments performed in triplicate ± standard deviation. *1,25D-treated groups statistically significantly different from ETOH control (p<0.05).
