Co-administration of leptin with AICAR abolished its effect on AMPK phosphorylation in MCF-7 (A), MDA-MB-231 (B) and T47D (C). Cells were incubated with AICAR (0.83 mM) in the presence or absence of leptin (150 ng/ml). The inhibitory effect of leptin on AMPK phosphorylation is shown (*p≤0.05, **p≤0.01; n=3).
