Genetic variability of F. verticillioides strains in Texas. (A) Maize producing counties of Texas were color coded and grouped into 6 different geographical regions. These are the 65 counties where most of the 2.1 million acres of maize production is concentrated. (B) A dendrogram was produced with the RAPD profiles of the F. verticillioides field isolates. Each sample was then color-coded representing their county of origin.
