This figure shows a fair adequation between variations of CME and BA borders, for instance in BA1, BA2, BA3 and BA4 (primary motor and primary somatosensory cortex, green arrows), in BA17, BA18, BA19 (visual cortex, blue arrows) and in BA42 (auditory cortex, yellow arrow). (B) CME map averaged within each BA. (C) Mean BA values, as well as the inter-subject SD and the intra-area SD. In comparison with the SD across the entire cortex (26.5%), the intra-area SD is fairly low (in average 11.9%).
