Effects of atorvastatin and sildenafil on cell proliferation. Rat aortic smooth muscle cells (RASMCs) were treated with atorvastatin or sildenafil at different concentrations and PDGF-BB (1 ng/mL) was added 1 h later for 24 h. 3H-thymidine incorporation was measured. Control cells are untreated RASMCs without fetal bovine serum in the medium. Data are expressed as mean±S.E.M.
