BS recovers ultraviolet (UV) B-induced downregulation of a barrier function related gene in HaCaT cells. After 1 h of BS treatment, cells were irradiated with 0.01 J/cm2 UVB. Protein was harvested after 24 h and detected with specific antibodies by Western blot as described in Materials and Methods.
