RL-induced accumulation of the SUMOylated phyB^Lys996Arg mutant photoreceptor is reduced. phyB-9 seedlings expressing phyB-GFP (WT) or phyB^Lys996Arg-YFP (Lys996Arg) fusion proteins were grown in darkness for 4 d (D) and subsequently transferred to RL (12.5 µmol m⁻²·s⁻¹) for the indicated time. Sample preparation and detection of SUMOylation were performed as described in Fig. 1.
