Photoconversion and D reversion of phyB are not altered by the Lys996Arg mutation. Arabidopsis seedlings expressing phyB-GFP or phyBLys996Arg-YFP mutant in phyB-9 mutant background were grown for 4 d in darkness and preirradiated with RL for 3 h to deplete endogenous phyA before photoconversion measurement.
