The rate parameter kms is shown for the wild-type (left) and msg5Δ plus ste5ND (right) models. Parameters k3 and k3p are “knocked down” in the model and are assumed to take 5% of the original value for both the ste5ND and ste5ND plus msg5Δ mutant models. Parameter kms is set to 0 for both the msg5Δ and ste5ND plus msg5Δ mutant models. Parameters k5p and K2 have no appreciable affect on the model and are set to 0 in the model figures.
