We show our results for the mass ratio of the disordered alloy layer m_B2/m_B1 = 4, with m_B1 = 0.4 and m_B2 = 1.6. The period W is 4, 20, and 40 for (a–c), respectively. For comparison, we plot g_A(ω) of the bulk crystal formed by particles of mass m_A = 1 (crystal A), g_B(ω) of the disordered alloy with masses m_B1 = 0.4 and m_B2 = 1.6 (alloy B), and the vDOS of the glass and the disordered alloy formed by the same constituent species.
