Survival of the OG1RF wild-type strain, its isogenic ΔsodA mutant, and clones screened from the transposon library demonstrating partially restored tolerance (C2, C11, C13, C14, C41, C49, C50, C53, C56, and C57) was determined after 24 h of treatment with 20 μg/ml of vancomycin in GM17 medium. Mean values of the results of at least three different experiments are represented with error bars indicating standard deviations.
