Analysis of lipid body accumulation in L. amazonensis promastigotes in the control group and groups treated with E5700, POSA, or ITZ, alone or in combination. The results indicated that treatment with 1 μM POSA and 1 μM ITZ induced a significant increase in the accumulation of lipid bodies, different from those observed after treatment with 30 nM E5700. On the other hand, treatment with the combinations of drugs caused a strong increase of Nile Red accumulation. Fluorescence intensity is expressed in arbitrary units.
