hMsrA overexpression affects protein expression levels of lipoprotein-metabolism-related genes in HepG2 cells. The cells were collected on the third day after transfection with PWPI-hMsrA-GFP vector or the control PWPI-GFP vector using Lipofectamine 2000. Total cell proteins were extracted, and expression of LXRα, ABCA1, SR-BI, and LDLR proteins was determined by Western blot analysis using anti-human LXRα, ABCA1, SR-BI, and LDLR antibodies and anti-human β-actin antibody as loading control.
