Matrigel invasion assay. (A) The recombinant vector pcDNA6.2/V5-CD24 (pcDNA-CD24) containing CD24 ORF or the empty vector pcDNA6.2/V5 (pcDNA) was transfected into CaSki cells using Lipofectamine 2000. The results showed that CD24 was successfully overexpressed in pcDNA6.2/V5-CD24-transfected cells. (B) CD24-transfected CaSki cells were seeded in a Matrigel-coated upper chamber. Cell invasion through the Matrigel after incubation for 16 h was detected by H&E staining and quantified. Data are expressed as the mean ± SD, n=3 in triplicate. H&E, hematoxylin and eosin.
