Model results. Fitness distributions with higher variance are associated with higher levels of resistance at 5 (A) and 20 years (B), from the time of drug introduction in the deterministic model. When different levels of variance are included (shape scale), the prevalence of resistance is higher (eg, compare open circles to crosses at a single mean).
