Experimental features |
RNA was isolated from blood leukocyte samples of three Parkinson's disease patients prior to deep brain stimulation (DBS) treatment and post-DBS, both on and following 1 h off electrical stimulation, and age- and gender-matched healthy control volunteers. Samples were prepared for hybridization on Affymetrix human junction prototype microarrays (HJAY) and served to characterize alternative splicing changes pre- and post-treatment and as compared with healthy controls. |
