Leishmania amazonensis induces p50 NF-κB occupancy on the iNOS promoter in infected macrophages treated with LPS. RAW 264.7 cells were infected with promastigotes of L. amazonensis for 5 h and treated with 1 µg ml⁻¹ LPS for 1 h. The ChIP assay was performed using (a) anti-p50 and (b) anti-p65 antibodies. The immunoprecipitated chromatin was amplified by real-time PCR using primers described in the Material and methods section. *p < 0.05.
