Retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cell behaviour on biomaterial membranes. Quantification of RPE cell numbers (A) using the PicoGreen^® assay after 3 days culture on fibroin, blend, and layered membranes; Tissue culture plastic (TCP) was included as control substrate.
