Method for calculating percolation diameter presented by (Ashworth et al., 2014, 2015) based on a relationship from percolation theory (Saxton 2010). The maximum distance traveled in the z-direction (L) for spheres with different diameters (d) is plotted, allowing to infer the percolation diameter, d_c, the diameter of the largest sphere that can percolate through an infinitely long scaffold.
