Cytotoxic effects of silver nanoparticles in Leydig cells and Sertoli cells.

Notes: Leydig cells and Sertoli cells were treated with various concentrations of silver nanoparticles for 24 hours, and cytotoxicity was determined using 3(4-5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) assays. The results represent the means of three independent experiments, and the error bars show the standard errors of the means. The cytotoxicity of silver nanoparticles-treated groups was significantly different from that of the control group, as determined by the Student’s t-test (P<0.05). (A) The MTT assays of Leydig cells. (B) The MTT assays of Sertoli cells. (C) LDH assays of Leydig cells. (D) LDH assays of Sertoli cells. *P<0.05, **P<0.01.
