Fig.4 — Evaluation of the effect of fibroblast growth factor-2 (FGF2) on the expression level of glial fibrillary acidic protein (Gfap) by semi-quantitative reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) following local injection of lysolecithin (LPC). An increased expression of Gfap was observed at day 28 in the FGF2- treated group. Bars: mean ± standard error of mean (SEM), n≥5, *; P<0.01 compared to the control group and +; P<0.05 compared to the non-treated group at day 28 as evaluated by the LSD test.
