Ultrasonic manifestation of RDS: pulmonary consolidation with air bronchograms. The infant above had a GA of 39+1 wk and was delivered by cesarean section; the infant had a birth weight of 4000 g. The infant was admitted to the hospital because of dyspnea for 4 h. The CXR indicated RDS. LUS showed large-area lung consolidation with significant air bronchograms in bilateral lungs and the disappearance of the pleural lines and A-lines.
