OLE2 KO C. parapsilosis cells have altered fatty acid composition. WT and OLE2 KO C. parapsilosis cells were cultured in YPD medium overnight, washed, lyophilized, and subjected to analysis by gas chromatography. For better comparison, fatty acid levels were normalized to those of WT cells and expressed as %. The actual concentration of palmitoleic and oleic acid (expressed as ng/mg or µg/mg dry weight) is described in Results.
