(A) mRNA expression of DNA damage and repair related genes in 16HBE cells with Cd induced malignant transformation. The gene expression was validated in untreated controls 16HBE cells, Cd-induced 5th, 15th treated cells, 35th passage transformed cells by qPCR and normalized to that of β-actin. The fold change in expression of experiment group was normalzied to that of untreated control 16HBE cells. Data are expressed as mean ± SD. *P < 0.05 vs untreated 16HBE (one-way ANOVA).
