This figure compares the phase tomograms reconstructed from phase projections (A) and from differential phase projections along a single direction perpendicular to the rotation axis (B). The horizontal lines in B caused by noise and artifacts in the projection data are significantly reduced if the two-directional information is used. This comparison illustrates the advantage of speckle-based imaging compared with other techniques, such as grating-based methods, which deliver the differential phase signal along only one dimension.
