Patient appearance upon admission (October 2013) (panel A) and after FREMS treatment (April 2014) (panel B): a homogenous decrease in subcutaneous swelling was observed in the trunk and proximal portion of the upper limbs. MRI scan of the abdomen with T2-weighted Spin Echo respiratory-triggered sequences at baseline (panel C) and after FREMS treatment (panel D): a significant reduction in fat was documented in the subcutaneous tissue of the abdomen, while no changes were observed in visceral fat.
