Necrotic tissue was strongly positive for CD20 (×40). The adrenal tumor showed characteristic changes, with predominant geographic necrotic tissue and diffuse inflammatory cell infiltration in the center of the tumor. Since necrotic tissue tends to contain few tumor cells, it can be extremely difficult to accurately diagnose a tumor, and hematoxylin–eosin staining alone fails to provide a definitive diagnosis.
