Farnesol-induced apoptosis in Molt4-hyg cells is independent of ROS generation. Cells were treated with 100 μM farnesol or vehicle for 4 h in the presence or absence of vitamin C or BHA. ROS and PARP cleavage were analyzed as described in Section 2. Results show that vitamin C and BHA inhibited ROS, but did not block PARP cleavage suggesting that farnesol-induced apoptosis was independent of ROS generation.
