Cytokine induction in BMDM infected with C. pneumoniae strains AO3 or AR39. BMDMs were prepared as described in the Methods. The cells were infected with AO3 or AR39 at the indicated MOI, and incubated at 35 °C or 37 °C. Supernatant was harvested at 24 h post infection and assayed for (a) IL-1β, (b) IL-6 and (c) IFN-β.
