Therapeutic effects of IFN-β on CVA16-infected TRIF-deficient mice. Fourteen-day-old TRIF-deficient C57BL/6 mice were infected i.p. with 1.5 × 103 PFU CVA16 and then injected i.p. with 3 × 104 units of IFN-β per mouse per day (n = 11) or saline (n = 9) on days 1, 2, and 3 postinfection.
