Figure 11

Homing of BMSCs to the wounds.

Notes: Mice in groups AE were treated as above but were also injected with 5 × 105 GFP-BMSCs intravenously at the same time. Immunofluorescence showed that mice that received SDF1α-PPADT nanoparticles contained more GFP, CD31 double-positive cells than mice in the other four groups. The arrows point to green dots which are BMSCs that are labeled by GFP, red dots which are vascular endothelial cells that are labeled by the CD31 antibody, and blue dots which is the nucleus that is labeled by DAPI.

Abbreviations: GFP, green fluorescent protein; CD31, platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1; SDF-1α-PPADT, SDF-1α-loaded PPADT; SDF-1α, stromal cell-derived factor-1α; PPADT, poly-(1,4-phenyleneacetone dimethylene thioketal).
