Absorbance at 260 nm (e260) of a solution of M in RFMF (squares). Arrows indicate when the RFMF is on/off. Circles, response of N (no nanocrystals) in RFMF. Gold nanocrystals also show an absorbance increase under RFMF, qualitatively attributed to the change in the optical absorption due to eddy currents.
