Mice were infected with T.b.brucei GVR35 at day 1 (I) and treated with diminazene aceturate (to eliminate the peripheral infection) at day 24 (B). IL-10 treatment was carried out from day 17–30 (B) and all mice were euthanized at day 31 (K) for analysis of neuropathology and parasitosis. Uninfected animals following identical regimens to the infected mice were included as controls (U).
