The short distance PLI is computed as the average PLI between all channel pairs within the same region (two such pairs are shown for the left frontal region). Long distance PLI is computed from channel pairs where one channel is in one region, and the other channel is in another region. This is illustrated for right temporo-central long distance PLI and for occipital interhemispheric long distance PLI.
