DC-autophagy promotes early activation of CD4+ T cells after HSV-1 infection. atg5fl/fl CD11-cre (n = 11) and atg5fl/fl (n = 10) mice were infected bilaterally with 2 × 106 PFU per eye, and draining cervical lymph nodes were harvested at 3 days postinfection and analyzed using flow cytometry.
