Expression of Nm23-H1 and KISS1 was considerably up-regulated in PC3 cells after SNAI2-siRNA treatment. By contrast, the stemness-related genes CD44v6, SOX2, NOTCH1, along with WWTR1/TAZ, YAP1, OCT4A and NANOG were significantly down-regulated. Data are representative of three independent experiments. Western Blot analysis of Ctrl-siRNA and SNAI2-siRNA treated PC3 cells confirmed, at protein level, this gene expression regulation for only the first five genes, with β-actin or Lamin B (evaluation of the nuclear protein fractions of SOX2, WWTR1/TAZ and YAP1) as a loading control. *p < 0.05 Student's t-test compared with Ctrl cells.
