Define genome-era pathology Educate pathologists in the use of genetic data and information. Define the role of clinical laboratories in the genome-era and review the implications of pathology-wide analysis and reporting of whole genome data. Partner with national and international pathology associations to promote the development and review of operational and regulatory issues. Address insurance and reimbursement issues. Initiate a set of pilot projects to identify the practical aspects and challenges in implementing this vision.
