Adult germline defects in drp-1(or1393ts) mutants following temperature up-shifts to the restrictive temperature (26°C) at the L1 and L4 larval stages. Spinning disk fluorescent confocal microscopy was used to make composite images of the adult hermaphrodite gonads in both wild-type (A and E) and drp-1(or1393ts) (B–D and F–H) worms. In this and subsequent figures, plasma membranes were marked with an mCherry::PH domain fusion, chromosomes were marked with a histone2B::GFP fusion (see Materials and Methods), and scale bars are shown in white.
