Parental education is awarded 1 point if high school (year 9) is completed; 2 points if senior high school (year 12) is completed; and 3 points if an additional fourth year of senior high school or a minimum of 30 ETC in college or university is completed. Parents’ weighted level of education is the mean value of each school.
