Plasma NGAL and [TIMP-2]*[IGFBP7] values according to AKI stage at inclusion. Only patients with stage 3 AKI diagnosed in the first 24 hours after ICU admission had significantly higher plasma NGAL values in comparison with patients with stage 2 AKI.
