Associations of task-induced activations in the VP/VLBW group with clinical variables. Brain activations for the incongruent > congruent contrast showed a negative association with gestational age in a region of the right dorsal ACC and in a right-lateralized superior occipital cluster, indicating stronger activations for VP/VLBW with a lower gestational age. Moreover, adjacent aspects of the right dorsal ACC showed a positive correlation with duration of neonatal intensive treatment, indicating stronger activations for VP/VLBW with longer treatment.
