Floral morphology of Pg, Ps, and F1 hybrids. Pg (A) and Ps (B) have distinct zygomorphic flowers, mainly displayed in the different size and shape of dorsal petals, as well as the different shape of lateral and ventral petals (A′ and B′, dorsal view). Both cross (C) and reciprocal cross (D) F1 hybrids have intermediate zygomorphic flowers compared with the two parents. For each flower, both the front (left) and side (right) views are shown.
