Global DNA methylation levels in ΔDNMT3B4-del transgenic and wild-type mice. (A) Genomic DNA extracted from lung and heart tissues of ΔDNMT3B4-del transgenic and wild-type mice was measured for relative levels of methylated gene promoters using ImprintTM Methylated DNA Quantification kit (MDQ1, Sigma). Heart tissues were included as negative control because very low to none transgene expression was detected in this organ of the transgenic mice. The difference was statistically significant (p < 0.05 by Student’s t Test with sample size 6 for each group). (B).
