Spatial localization of micro positron emission tomography (μPET)-derived signal validated by immunohistochemistry. In an example of a mouse imaged 14 days after transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAo) [¹⁸F]DPA-714 and [¹⁸F]BR-351 signals showed spatial agreement with immunohistochemistry for anti-TSPO and anti-MMP-9 antibody staining, respectively.
