The definition of moderate-to-severe rhinitis was based on ARIA 2008 criteria. For all subjects, the exclusion criteria were: (I) a history of asthma, wheezing, chronic cough or other chronic respiratory diseases; (II) acute upper respiratory tract infections within 8 weeks; (III) a history of nasal or facial trauma; (IV) significant nasal septum deviation under endoscopic examination; (V) pregnancy or lactation.
