(A) Evans blue leakage was detected 2 days after pMCAL in mice fed with selected diets for 7 days, 14 days, 21 days and 28 days. The brain of the HSD mouse have a larger blue area (left), and higher Evans blue content (bar graph on right) as compared with that of the normal diet mouse (n = 5 per group; **P < 0.01, ***P < 0.001) (B) Occludin and ZO-1 were co-stained with CD31, a capillary endothelia marker, in the penumbra region of the ischemic brain of different groups (n = 5 per group).
