n = 18 rats. Kin, rate of [14C]sucrose uptake; VD, initial volume of distribution. Kin and VD are regression coefficients calculated from the plot in Fig. 3. Complete Freund’s adjuvant (CFA) treatment significantly increased the rate of brain [14C]sucrose uptake compared with saline.

P < 0.05. There was no change in initial VD with CFA treatment.
